SapphoX Safety Policy

SapphoX is a private online community for women who love women. Our priority is emotional safety, respect, and healthy interaction. This Safety Policy outlines how we protect our members and what we expect from everyone who joins.

This community is 18+ and for adults only.

1. Identity & Membership Safety

  • SapphoX is exclusively for WLW (women who love women, including trans women and non-binary femmes who identify within WLW experience).

  • We may verify accounts during registration to prevent impersonation, trolling, and minors accessing the platform.

  • Verification may include social media links or alternative methods.

  • You may remove verification info after approval.

  • Providing false identity or age may lead to account removal.

2. Emotional & Social Boundaries

We encourage honest conversation, vulnerability, and growth — but not at the cost of emotional harm.

Members agree to:

  • respect personal boundaries

  • avoid manipulation or coercion

  • avoid love-bombing, trauma dumping, or obsessive behaviour

  • seek consent before deep personal questioning

  • not weaponize someone’s identity or experiences

SapphoX is not a platform for therapy, diagnosis, or crisis counselling.

3. Sensitive Topics & Mental Health

Members may discuss:

  • mental health

  • trauma

  • coming out

  • relationships and boundaries

  • safe sex and queer intimacy

  • healing and identity

These discussions are based on personal experience and are not professional advice.

SapphoX is not a substitute for therapy, medical guidance, or emergency support.

If you're in distress, please contact licensed professionals or crisis services. We will provide a resource list inside the community.

4. Harassment, Abuse & Harmful Behaviour

The following behaviors may result in warnings or immediate removal:

  • harassment or stalking

  • bullying or targeted exclusion

  • posting others’ personal info (doxxing)

  • unsolicited sexual content

  • predatory behaviour

  • discrimination (racism, transphobia, biphobia, misogyny, body-shaming, ableism)

We operate a zero tolerance approach to abuse.

5. Privacy & Confidentiality

To protect members:

  • do not share screenshots of the community outside the platform

  • do not repost private conversations without consent

  • do not share identifiable information about others

This is a closed space, not public social media.

6. Moderation & Reporting

Moderators may:

  • remove harmful content

  • suspend accounts

  • request verification

  • mediate conflicts

  • delete posts that violate community rules

If you feel unsafe, report behaviour immediately inside the platform.

We do not tolerate retaliation against members who report concerns.

7. Consent Culture

Consent applies to more than physical interactions. Online, it includes:

  • consent before adding to private chats

  • consent before sharing content externally

  • consent before deep emotional conversations

  • consent before flirting or sexual discussions

Always ask first. Always respect “no.”

8. Platform Limitations

SapphoX is a community space, not a clinical service. We cannot:

  • provide crisis intervention

  • replace medical or psychological care

  • guarantee judgment-free support from all members

  • monitor every conversation in real time

We act responsibly within our capacity as an online platform, not a healthcare provider.

9. Updates to This Policy

This Safety Policy may evolve as the community grows. Major changes will be announced to members.
